Enrol in the New School in Town - Monster High!

As part of this year's programme, VivoCity is collaborating with Mattel and Toys 'R' Us to organise the "We Are Monster High" event from 2 to 15 June. Focusing on the theme 'It is okay to be different', the highlight of the event will be 'Meet & Greet' sessions with Monster High characters as well as activities such as the "Fear-lebrity" makeover and photo booth, where shoppers can enrol their kids for a makeover session to dress up as Monster High characters. Monster High's range of fashion/lifestyle merchandise will also be retailed at the event.

Eco-Fashion at its Best

Themed 'Go Green In Style', Creatively Thai 2014 will showcase upcoming trends of eco-fashion from local Thai designers from 19 to 22 June, presenting sustainable fashion as not separate and unique but simply fashion at its best; sustainable fashion is no longer a trend, but a lifestyle choice.

Jointly organised by VivoCity and Thai Trade Centre Singapore, Popular Thai actress and singer Ms Noona Nuengthuda Sophon, Miss Intercontinental Thailand 2013 Ms SaiiAeim Sawangjang, and Asia New Star Model 2013 winner Ms Boeing Phalatoon will walk down the runway showcasing the inspirational designs from 40 talented Thai designers such as Surreal Objects, Rotsaniyom, ITTI, SIXPOSTMERIDIAN, HANEEF and SSAP. The collections will feature glamorous designs of feminine floral alongside the theme of "Flower's Power", urban chic street wear for the theme "Urban Exploring", as well as elegant and luxurious silk designs for the theme "Intimate Luxury Pure Silk".

Pit your skills in the "VivoCity 60 Seconds Challenge"

In addition to Monster High and Creatively Thai, VivoCity will also be organising the VivoCity 60 Seconds Challenge. The challenge will run from 14 to 20 July 2014 and shoppers with a minimum spending of $30 in a single receipt will be able to take part in different challenges where they have to complete certain tasks in 60 seconds.

The top 30 contestants with the best scores on the leader board will be selected to play in the Finals 20 July 2014 from 2-3pm.

Indulge in Vibrant Music with SISAY

While shoppers can look forward to stimulating activities and great deals, the multi-award winning Neo folklore/latino music group ensemble SISAY will be in Singapore to perform at VivoCity's Amphitheatre for two days, 28 & 29 June 2014 at 6.30pm and 7.30pm daily. The group has won numerous grammy-esque awards including Best Traditional Music, Best Arrangement, Best Instrumental, and Song of the Year (2006) in their homeland acclaimed music festivals like the Pawkar Raymi and Equinoccio. To-date, SISAY has performed in many countries including China, Macau, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Ecuador, U.S. and Canada.

The Great Singapore Sale is the biggest sale of the year in Singapore, with locals and visitors alike seeking out the best deals from merchants island wide. The two-month long line-up promises activities that will enthral shoppers with an experience of a lifetime.

1. 'We Are Monster High' and Hot Wheels (2 - 15 June 2014)
Venue: Central Court, Level 1

VivoCity will be partnering Mattel and Toys 'R' Us to jointly organize 'We Are Monster High' and Hot Wheels, with both events targeted at families with young children. Monster High (MH) dolls are vampy teens patterned after the offspring of monsters like Dracula and Frankenstein. The characters are inspired by monster movies, sci-fi horror and various creatures therefore distinguishing them from most fashion dolls. Targeted at girls aged 6 - 13 years old, MH characters have a punk rock, edgy look that conveys the message "It is ok to be different". MH's range of fashion/lifestyle merchandise will also be retailed at the event, where girls will be introduced to the different characters in Monster High.

a) Monster High 'Meet & Greet' (7, 8, 14 & 15 June 2014, 3pm & 6pm)

For these 'Meet & Greet' sessions with MH characters, there will be a dance performance on stage on Saturdays and Sundays to entertain the shoppers. Shoppers with a minimum spending of $50 in a single receipt will get a chance to take pictures with the MH characters, limited to 50 participants per session.

b) Monster High Fear-lebrity Makeover and Photo Booth (2 - 15 June 2014)

Shoppers can enrol their daughters in a makeover session to dress up as key MH characters with a minimum spending of $50 on MH products in a single receipt, or a minimum of $80 at any VivoCity outlet (maximum 2 combined same-day receipts including a MH purchase at the event). Shoppers will bring home a free 4R photo framed within a ghoul clapper board.

c) Monster High DIY Corner (2 - 15 June 2014)

MH-themed 'Do-It-Yourself activities such as bracelet and phone accessory making stations will be part of the event. From 2 - 15 June 2014, shoppers with a minimum spending of $30 on MH products in a single receipt will be able to enrol their children to participate in these DIY activities.

d) Monster High Purchase-With-Purchase (2 - 15 June 2014)

Shoppers with a minimum spending of $50 on MH products in a single receipt, or a minimum of $80 at any VivoCity outlet (maximum 2 combined same-day receipts including a MH purchase at the event) will be able to purchase a 'Colour Me Mine Monster High' bag at $10 (Usual Price $29.90). The offer is limited to 400 nos. on a first-come, first-served basis.

e) Monster High Webisodes (2 - 15 June 2014)

There will be a designated area at the event stage where children can view webisodes of Monster High on television, to better relate to the characters.

f) Hot Wheels (2 - 15 June 2014)

Mattel will showcase their Hot Wheels products targeted at families with young boys. A Hot Wheels tracks display will be erected for boys to interact and play with the toys.

2. Designers' Showcase and Creatively Thai Fashion Show (19 June - 22 June)

Launching the sustainable series, Creatively Thai 2014 returns with a four day line-up of designers' showcase and fashion runway shows, encompassing the main theme 'Go Green In Style'. The fashion lineage will reveal works of leading eco designers from Thailand, focusing on a wide range of chic, contemporary and high street fashion inspirations that create a new variety of eco-couture. Brands are categorized to capture the essence of skilful and creative innovations that will use local materials such as Thai cotton and Thai silk to offer classic, edgy and versatile pieces.

The show will open to a kaleidoscope of colourful tribal designs that encircles the theme 'Multi Ethnic Mood'. With a touch of African Renaissance, the collections featured will boasts creative designs of pieces that combine the story and history behind different cultures and ethnicities.

3. VivoCity 60 Seconds Challenge (14 - 20 July 2014)

Shoppers with a minimum spending of $30 in a single receipt from 14 - 20 July 2014 will be able to take part in different challenges, where participants have 60 seconds to complete certain tasks, like for example using a pair of chopsticks to pick up the green M&M chocolates in a bowl.

The top 30 contestants with the best scores on the leader board will be selected to play in the Finals on 20 July 2014 from 2-3pm.

4. The Great Singapore Sale Lucky Draw (30 May - 27 July)

Grand Draw

At the end of each game session, players are invited to participate in the Grand Draw when they spend a minimum amount of $30 (in a single receipt) at any VivoCity outlet from 2 June to 27 July 2014.
